Goals of Vestibular Rehabilitation
VRT aims to help reduce the intensity, frequency, and duration of dizziness and vertigo, improve balance and stability, reduce gaze instability and visual disturbances, and decrease the risk of falls. Treatment can also help patients develop strategies to manage symptoms and safely return to everyday activities.
Untreated vestibular problems may interfere with work, mobility, and daily activities and can negatively affect overall quality of life. Our goal is to help you move with greater confidence, improve your balance, and return to the activities that matter to you.
Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) is a specialized form of physical therapy designed to help individuals experiencing dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, visual disturbances, and difficulty with coordination related to vestibular system dysfunction. The vestibular system, which includes the inner ear and brain, plays an important role in maintaining balance, coordinating eye movements, and orienting the body in space.
At Prime Health Physical Therapy, our trained physical therapists perform a comprehensive evaluation of your posture, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, gait, and gaze control, while also discussing how your symptoms affect your daily activities. Based on the findings, we develop an individualized treatment program tailored to your specific needs.
